San Francisco Hosts Asian American and Pacific Islander Cocktail Week

Published:

San Francisco is set to host the third annual Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) Cocktail Week from May 25 to 29, 2025, celebrating the rich heritage and contributions of AAPI cultures to the hospitality industry. Founded by Kevin Diedrich, owner of Pacific Cocktail Haven, this five-day festival aims to revitalize the city's cocktail scene and spotlight community and culture.

The festival features a robust lineup of happy hours, educational panels, tastings, and pop-up events with guest bartenders from esteemed international venues, including names from the World's 50 Best Bars list. Highlight events include an opening party at Pacific Cocktail Haven with Singapore’s Jigger and Pony, a Sunset Boat Luau offering tropical cocktails and scenic views, a high-paced bartender competition called “Fastest Hands in the West,” and the Pandan Party, focusing on the Southeast Asian plant flavor. The week concludes with the Night Market at Splash in Thrive City, showcasing 25 top Bay Area bars and restaurants.

Proceeds from AAPI Cocktail Week events will help cover costs and be donated to a local AAPI organization, The Power of 10 Initiative.

Event details, ticket prices, and locations are available on the official website.

By providing a platform for AAPI bartenders and celebrating their cultural heritage, AAPI Cocktail Week not only enriches San Francisco's cocktail culture but also promotes diversity and inclusion within the hospitality industry.
