Oracle Partners with Google Cloud to Integrate AI Models

Oracle Corporation and Google Cloud have announced a strategic partnership to integrate Google's Gemini artificial intelligence (AI) models into Oracle's cloud services and business applications. This collaboration enables Oracle customers to access Google's advanced AI capabilities—capable of generating text, video, images, and audio—within Oracle's cloud environment.

The partnership allows software developers to utilize Google's Gemini models through Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) Generative AI service, starting with the Gemini 2.5 model. Oracle plans to expand this offering to include the entire range of Gemini models via new integrations with Vertex AI. These models encompass video, image, speech, and music generation, as well as specialized industry models like MedLM for healthcare. Additionally, Oracle will collaborate with Google Cloud to make Gemini models available as an option within Oracle Fusion Cloud Applications, enhancing workflows in finance, human resources, supply chain, sales, service, and marketing. Customers can use their existing Oracle Universal Credits to access these AI tools, simplifying the adoption process.

Thomas Kurian, CEO of Google Cloud, stated, "Now, Oracle customers can access our leading models from within their Oracle environments, making it even easier for them to begin deploying powerful AI agents that can support developers, streamline data integration tasks, and much more." (oracle.com)

Clay Magouyrk, President of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, commented, "The availability of Gemini on OCI Generative AI service highlights our focus on delivering powerful, secure, and cost-effective AI solutions that help customers drive innovation and achieve their business goals." (oracle.com)

This partnership positions Oracle to offer a diverse set of AI models, distinguishing it from competitors like Microsoft Azure and Amazon Web Services (AWS), which have exclusive partnerships with specific AI model providers. By integrating Google's Gemini models, Oracle enhances its appeal to enterprise customers seeking versatile AI solutions. The collaboration is expected to accelerate AI adoption among Oracle's enterprise clients, particularly in regulated industries like finance and healthcare, where AI integration has been cautious but holds transformative potential.

This partnership follows Oracle's previous agreement with Elon Musk's xAI in June 2025 to offer xAI's Grok models through Oracle's cloud services. These collaborations reflect Oracle's strategy to provide a broad array of AI options to its customers rather than focusing solely on proprietary technology. (reuters.com)

The Oracle-Google Cloud partnership marks a significant step in the evolution of enterprise AI adoption, offering businesses enhanced tools to innovate and streamline operations. By integrating Google's Gemini models into Oracle's cloud services, the collaboration aims to provide flexible, powerful, and cost-effective AI solutions to a broad range of industries.
