Lucy Dacus Releases New Album "Forever Is a Feeling" and Announces Tour

Lucy Dacus, acclaimed indie rock musician and member of the supergroup Boygenius, has released her fourth solo studio album, Forever Is a Feeling, on March 28, 2025, via Geffen Records. This album marks her first solo project since 2021's Home Video and follows her collaborative success with Boygenius, whose debut album, The Record, earned three Grammy Awards and a BRIT Award in 2024.

Forever Is a Feeling delves into the complexities of adult relationships, love, and loss. Dacus describes the album as a deeply personal exploration, stating, "I got kicked in the head with emotions. Falling in love, falling out of love... You have to destroy things in order to create things. And I did destroy a really beautiful life." The album features collaborations with notable artists, including her Boygenius bandmates Phoebe Bridgers and Julien Baker, as well as Hozier, Madison Cunningham, Blake Mills, Bartees Strange, and Melina Duterte.

The album's cover art is a painting of Dacus by visual artist Will St. John. Ahead of the album release, Dacus unveiled two singles: "Ankles" and "Limerence." The music video for "Ankles," filmed in Paris, features actress Havana Rose Liu.

To promote the album, Dacus has embarked on the "Forever Is a Feeling Tour," which began on April 16, 2025, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The tour includes performances across North America and Europe, featuring opening acts such as Katie Gavin of MUNA and Jasmine.4.T.
