The foundation anticipates a $1.1 million deficit for 2024, attributed to increased event production costs and a decline in corporate sponsorships. CEO Marilyn Clint emphasized the festival's commitment to the community, stating, "We do this as a gift to the community... that's what’s been happening for more than 100 years and that’s what we’re going to continue to do." To address the shortfall, the foundation has implemented approximately $800,000 in budget cuts, including reductions in payroll and operational expenses.
