Carlos Alcaraz Triumphs in Epic French Open Final Against Jannik Sinner

In a historic display of resilience and skill, Carlos Alcaraz overcame a two-set deficit and saved three championship points to defeat world number one Jannik Sinner in the 2025 French Open men's singles final. The match, lasting 5 hours and 29 minutes, concluded with a score of 4–6, 6–7(4), 6–4, 7–6(3), 7–6(10–2), marking the longest French Open final in history. This victory secured Alcaraz's second consecutive French Open title and his fifth Grand Slam overall.

The final, held on June 8 at Roland Garros in Paris, was the first Grand Slam championship contested by two players born in the 2000s, highlighting a generational shift in men's tennis. Alcaraz, 22, and Sinner, 23, delivered a match filled with intense rallies and dramatic momentum shifts.

He also became the third man in the Open Era to win a major after saving championship points, following Gastón Gaudio at the 2004 French Open and Novak Djokovic at the 2019 Wimbledon Championships.
