Pakistan and Afghanistan Agree to Ceasefire After Intense Border Clashes

Afghan government spokesperson Zabihullah Mujahid emphasized that both sides agreed not to engage in hostile acts or support attacks against each other’s forces or infrastructure.

The border clashes have severely disrupted daily life for civilians along the Durand Line. Trade has been affected, with crossings like Chaman and Torkham partially or completely closed, leading to economic losses and displacement of civilians. The ceasefire brings hope to refugees and traders affected by the violence and border restrictions.
