2,000 Bitcoin (~$130M) Transferred to Wallet Labeled Binance

·

A transfer of 2,000 bitcoin worth about $129.8 million moved from an unidentified wallet to a wallet labeled as belonging to Binance on Monday, according to Whale Alert and public blockchain records. Whale Alert described the transaction as: “2,000 #BTC (129,829,683 USD) transferred from unknown wallet to #Binance.”

The transaction was recorded on the Bitcoin blockchain at 2026-08-10T13:21:07Z, according to the Whale Alert transaction page and public block explorers that show the on-chain entry. Those records confirm the transfer took place, but they do not publicly identify the sender beyond a blockchain address. Multiple address-label services and explorers reviewed for the transfer identify the receiving wallet as linked to Binance, commonly labeled as a Binance cold wallet. There was no public indication at the time of review that the bitcoin had been sold on the open market.

The movement matters because Binance is one of the world’s largest cryptocurrency exchanges, and large transfers into exchange-linked wallets are closely watched by traders for signs of possible market activity. In crypto markets, a transfer from a private wallet to an exchange can be interpreted as a potential sign that coins may be prepared for sale, since exchanges are where many traders buy and sell digital assets.

But an exchange inflow does not by itself prove a sale is imminent or even planned. Large on-chain transfers can also reflect custody changes, over-the-counter settlement between parties outside the public exchange order book, or internal rebalancing of wallets. No named individual or entity behind the sending wallet had been publicly identified in the on-chain data reviewed, and no public comment from Binance was available at the time of checks.
