Chris Gotterup Clinches Second PGA Tour Victory at the Genesis Scottish Open

Chris Gotterup, a 25-year-old American golfer, secured his second PGA Tour victory by winning the 2025 Genesis Scottish Open at The Renaissance Club in North Berwick, Scotland, on July 13, 2025. He finished at 15-under-par, two strokes ahead of Rory McIlroy and Marco Penge. This win also earned him a spot in the upcoming Open Championship at Royal Portrush.

Gotterup's performance included a course-record-tying 61 in the second round. In the final round, he delivered key birdies on the 10th and 12th holes, and despite a bogey on the 15th, he rebounded with a birdie on the 16th to maintain his lead.

This victory marks Gotterup's first Rolex Series title and his first win on the DP World Tour. He previously won the Myrtle Beach Classic in 2024. Gotterup played college golf at Rutgers University and the University of Oklahoma, where he won the Haskins and Jack Nicklaus Awards in 2022.

The Genesis Scottish Open is co-sanctioned by the DP World Tour and PGA Tour and is part of the prestigious Rolex Series.
