Meta Platforms' Ambitious Pursuit of AI Superintelligence
Meta Platforms, under the leadership of CEO Mark Zuckerberg, has unveiled a series of ambitious initiatives aimed at advancing artificial intelligence (AI) and achieving superintelligence—AI systems that surpass human capabilities. In July 2025, Meta announced the formation of the Superintelligence Lab to unify its advanced AI research endeavors.
