Comcast Launches 'World Soccer Ticket' for Xfinity Customers

Comcast has introduced "World Soccer Ticket," a comprehensive video package tailored for soccer enthusiasts, available exclusively to Xfinity customers. Launched on August 13, 2025, and priced at $85 per month, the package offers access to over 1,500 matches from premier international leagues and tournaments, including the Premier League, UEFA Champions League, LaLiga, Liga MX, and the upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup.

The "World Soccer Ticket" includes nearly 60 broadcast, cable news, and sports channels, encompassing both English and Spanish-language networks. Subscribers also receive a premium subscription to NBCUniversal's Peacock streaming service, which typically costs $10.99 per month. This integration allows fans to access a vast array of soccer content through Xfinity's X1 set-top box and the Xfinity Stream app on supported platforms such as Apple TV, Fire TV, Roku, and mobile devices.

In addition to soccer coverage, the package provides live broadcasts of other major sports and leagues, including the NFL, NBA, MLB, NHL, and NCAA football and basketball, accessible through networks like ABC, ESPN, and Fox. Technological features such as Multiview for watching multiple games simultaneously, 4K streaming, and the Sports Zone for live scores and schedules enhance the viewing experience.

Javier Garcia, Senior Vice President of Sales & Marketing at Comcast Central Division, highlighted the package's convenience: "This first-of-its-kind, custom-built package makes it easier than ever to watch your team score." Jon Gieselman, Chief Growth Officer for Connectivity & Platforms at Comcast, added, "Figuring out where to watch your favorite team or match is often a painful game of chance. Now, with World Soccer Ticket, there’s no better way to watch the beautiful game than with Xfinity."

The launch of "World Soccer Ticket" aligns with Comcast's strategy to attract sports enthusiasts ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, which will be co-hosted by the United States, Canada, and Mexico. By bundling extensive soccer content with its existing services, Comcast aims to enhance subscriber retention and growth, particularly for its Peacock streaming platform, which reported 41 million paid subscribers as of June 2025.

This initiative reflects a broader industry trend where media companies are leveraging major sports broadcasting rights to bolster their streaming platforms. For instance, the newly merged Paramount secured exclusive U.S. broadcast rights to the Ultimate Fighting Championship for seven years, underscoring the value placed on live sports content in driving viewership and subscriptions.

By consolidating extensive soccer coverage into a single package, Comcast's "World Soccer Ticket" aims to simplify the viewing experience for fans and position the company competitively in the evolving media and entertainment landscape.
