Panoply Arts Festival Returns to Huntsville in 2025

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. β€” The Panoply Arts Festival, a cornerstone of Huntsville's cultural calendar, is set to return to Big Spring International Park from April 25 to 27, 2025. This annual three-day event, organized by Arts Huntsville, celebrates the arts through a diverse array of performances, exhibits, and interactive activities.

Established in 1982, the Panoply Arts Festival has grown into one of the Southeast's premier arts events. Initially conceived by the Junior League of Huntsville in collaboration with The Arts Council, Inc., the festival aimed to enhance public exposure to the arts. Over the years, it has evolved to include a wide range of activities, from visual arts and music to educational programs.

The 2025 festival will feature over 100 visual artists from various mediums in the Art Marketplace, offering attendees the opportunity to purchase unique artworks. Two stages will host more than 30 musical acts, showcasing local bands and musicians across genres such as jazz, rock, R&B, indie rock, blues, and pop. A variety of culinary artisan food trucks will provide diverse food options, complemented by craft beer and wine selections. The festival will also include kid-friendly interactive and STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) activities, community art projects, and more.

Organized by Arts Huntsville, the festival relies on extensive community support. In previous years, the event has been supported by over 100 volunteer chairs and more than 1,200 volunteers. City services such as Green Team, General Services, Parking, Huntsville Police Department, and Fire Department play crucial roles in ensuring the festival's success.

Panoply has been a significant cultural event in the Southeast since its inception, attracting large crowds and showcasing a diverse array of artistic talents. The festival has had record attendances of over 100,000 in 2007, 2008, and 2009. The festival not only provides a platform for artists but also contributes to the local economy by drawing visitors to the area.

Day passes are priced at $15, while weekend passes are available for $20 if purchased before the festival; sales end on the Friday of Panoply at 4 p.m. Children aged 12 and under receive free admission.

As the festival approaches, Arts Huntsville encourages the community to participate in this celebration of the arts. For more information, volunteer sign-up, and to purchase tickets, visit the Arts Huntsville website at artshuntsville.org.
