Riyadh Hosts Inaugural Comedy Festival Reflecting Cultural Shift

Riyadh is set to host its inaugural Comedy Festival from September 26 to October 9, 2025, at Boulevard City. The event will feature over 50 internationally acclaimed comedians, marking a significant milestone in Saudi Arabia's cultural evolution under Vision 2030.

Organized by the General Entertainment Authority (GEA) under Chairman Turki Alalshikh, the Riyadh Comedy Festival is a key component of Riyadh Season 2025. This initiative aims to diversify the Kingdom's economy and enhance its global cultural presence by bringing world-class entertainment to Saudi Arabia.

The festival boasts a star-studded lineup, including Kevin Hart, Russell Peters, Gabriel Iglesias, Pete Davidson, Aziz Ansari, and Bill Burr. These comedians will present a variety of comedy styles, such as stand-up, satire, sketch, and improvisation. Performances will be held across multiple venues within Boulevard City, including the Mohammed Al-Ali Theatre, BAKR Al-Sheddi Theatre, SEF Arena, and ANB Arena.

Tickets for the festival went on sale on August 1, 2025, via the WeBook app. Pricing tiers include Bronze (100 SAR), Silver (200 SAR), Gold (300 SAR), Platinum (600 SAR), Diamond (800 SAR), and Royal (1,000 SAR). In addition to live performances, the festival will offer interactive activities, workshops, and daily shows catering to diverse age groups.
